August Photo Catch-up

Well, not really a catch-up... more like a few random photos taken in August that we'd like to share. As always, enjoy!

A photo of dad and Uncle Ernest on their 32nd birthday, holding their respective babies:

Enjoying the view after a yummy rooftop BBQ:

This is the smug mug of a determined tot who pulled relentlessly on the neck hole of his shirt, stretching it to the point that it could slide off his shoulders like a tacky 80's top (yes, what a mouthful!):

The Babies-Only Club

With great difficulty, we managed to snatch some photos of the recent meeting of the Babies-Only Club. This is an elite, underground society whose goal is to overthrow the large, bumbling bipeds who continually surround and try to control the members' lives.

At one point during the meeting, we noticed the participants crawling around in a circle and patting the ground with great interest and enthusiasm--we're still unsure as to the meaning of their actions:

They even have a secret handshake...
...which includes body bumps:
That night's meeting included the induction of the club's newest member, Nolan K. Chao. This little cutie was born on August 24, weighing in at 6lb 7oz. (Congrats Rita & Perry, he's a sweetheart!)

Unfortunately, the Babies-Only meeting was cut short due to bed time. Foiled once again by the adults!

Operation Electronics

Want to see Tyson crawl? Whip out any electronics, and our baby instantly turns into a determined little commando who will be there to try and grab the device in no-time flat. Witness what happens when mom holds a camera...

Camera spotted; Tyson on the move:

Leg scaled, now proceeding to next phase of operation:
Mom tackled, target almost within grasping range... proceed with making cute and funny expressions in hopes mom will let down guard and drop target:

The Finer Things

Cohibas, for me? Aww, thanks Uncle Enoch!

Apparently, our baby has expensive tastes... but look how big his smile is! Who wants to buy him a Ferrari? Anyone, anyone?

LEGO

LEGO... little blocks that can be used to make big things.
Our children... little blessings who will one day do big things.

July Photo Catch-up

Our little guy had a busy July. Not only did he attend showers, weddings, birthday parties, and other social events, he also sprouted his much-anticipated first tooth. This pearly white was quickly followed a day later by his second tooth. Bored of laying around all day, he learned how to motor about by crawling. His favourite mobile adventure is trying to follow mom around wherever she goes, resulting in some interesting challenges for mom.

In terms of tricks, he can clap his hands, give high-fives, wave bye-bye, and "ching-ching" his hands together. He likes exploring what noises and expressions he can make with his mouth. He still likes any object that he can shake to make noise with. He can say da-da, ma-ma, and nie-nie (milk), although the use of these sounds as words is still hit and miss (more miss at this point). Tyson remains one happy tyke, who loves to play, laugh, and drool.

Oh, and he'll eat almost anything -- if it's topped by a Cheerios :P
