Okay, so the little guy had some trouble managing Step 4, but he was a good sport about it, even in his sleepy state. Everyone got a kick out of seeing him dressed up. He's still a bit small for the costume (his limbs barely protrude from the arm and leg holes), so we'll try again in a few months.

The Latest Weigh In / One Month

Tyson turned one month corrected age today. He is now exactly 5x his birth weight -- 740g x 5 = 3700g (~8lbs 2oz):


Remember how he weighed 7lb on his due date? To reach his current weight, it took him one month to gain that precious one pound, as he had to do all his feeds orally with no HMF (Human Milk Fortifier) added to his meals.

Happy one month corrected, little guy! We're so proud of how far you've come!

What Is It?

Silver, oval, and found in party settings. Usually filled with ice and used to serve drinks.


Also used in hospitals as Tyson's bath tub! (Déjà vu...)


From a stainless steel mixing bowl, to a plastic green bowl, and now to a beer tub... we're not sure if Tyson's bathing facilities are being upgraded or downgraded :P

Four Months

Tyson turned four months old today (he will be one month corrected age on October 30th). The little guy is alert, likes to socialize, enjoys cuddles, and loves to eat. All the nurses tell us that he is the cutie of the NICU; they'll pick him up and take him for walks around the unit because they can't get enough of him. Happy four months, Tyson!
